Any port in a storm or simply the right location?

Any port in a storm or simply the right location?

Well it has to be the right location if you value your supply chain and customers. Make the wrong choice of supplier or one that uses the ‘wrong port’ and you could find your logistics’ operations delayed and those valued customers banging on your door and asking why. Whenever this topic raises its head we usually tell them it isn’t a concern at Transmar – we are using what we comfortably call ‘our jewel in the crown.’

Location isn’t everything but when it comes to offering our customers a smooth and reliable container service we know that the Port of Adabiya offers a congestion-free operation, an excellent location on the Red Sea and good infrastructure that enables us to offer container shipping services all year round. Our customers are looking for reliability and delays of any kind are the bane of forwarders worldwide. Our investment in the port has given us the opportunity to create reliable transit services across Red Sea and into Saudi Arabia and the Arabian Gulf. With nine berths able to handle dry and liquid bulk cargo vessels up to 60,000 tonnes, Adabiya offers Transmar customers a comprehensive port structure that encompasses good rail and road links. Located on the western shore of the Gulf of Suez, about 10 km south of Suez, the port is undergoing development to ensure it retains it congestion-free operation as more people come to appreciate its location and services.

We know that our customers want easy access to container services. With Transmar they get that but they are also mindful of the operational and customs delays at some ports that can add misery to their customers when it comes to deliveries. At Adabiya we are confident that our services do not suffer from these delays: it is a port that is ideally located for our container shipping operations with scheduled services from the port into our Jeddah hub opening up the Saudi Arabian markets and those of the wider Arabian Gulf.

Delays of any kind are costly and frustrating for customers at both end of the supply chain. Our role is to ensure these delays are minimised and we believe that by using Adabiya we are going well beyond this level of efficiency and providing customers with the smoothest container shipping services in Egypt.
